**This is a full-time position rotating weekly between 4 days in our Cairns workshop and 5 days DIDO remote site work where you will be required to stay in Mareeba (accommodation and meals provided)**

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform mechanical fitting, repairs and component replacements across crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and other fixed‑plant equipment

- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot breakdowns and complete timely repairs to minimise production delays

- Complete welding, fabrication‑related fitting, drilling, tapping and assembly tasks as required

- Support shutdowns, planned maintenance and project works with safe, efficient execution

- Perform alignment, torqueing, tensioning and flange management to site standards

Requirements:

- Documented experience as a fitter - mechanical fixed plant

- Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulics (preferred)

- Experience with crushing & screening circuits

- A strong attention to detail and a dedication to quality

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently

- Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
