Recycling Plastics Australia is seeking reliable, experienced and safety-focused Casual Forklift Operators & Production Operators to join our busy 24/7 manufacturing operation.
These are casual positions offering consistent full-time hours of approximately 84 hours per fortnight, with the prospect to transition to permanent full-time employment for the right candidate.
We have positions available across both day and night shifts.
About the Role
Working as part of our production team, you will play an important role in keeping our recycling operations running safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating forklifts to safely move materials throughout the site
- Feeding plastic bales into processing machinery
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Moving and handling recycled materials
- Completing routine production and housekeeping tasks
- Monitoring equipment and reporting any faults, damage or safety concerns
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Following all workplace health and safety, quality and operational procedures
- Working effectively as part of a fast-paced production team
About You
We are looking for people who are reliable, hardworking and safety-focused, with the ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Demonstrated forklift operating experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production or a similar setting is highly desirable
- The ability to safely operate machinery and follow procedures
- The ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Availability to work 7 shifts per fortnight (approximately 84 hours)
- Availability to work every second weekend
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
