About the role:

CatholicCare Central Queensland is seeking an experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our Mediation Services Team.

This is an opportunity to use your professional expertise to support families experiencing separation, relationship breakdown and related disputes, while helping them work towards positive outcomes.

You will provide high-quality, child-focused and impartial Family Dispute Resolution and mediation services as part of our integrated Family Services Stream.

Your work will include:

- Family Dispute Resolution and mediation
- Property mediation
- Property intake, information, support and referrals
- Parenting intake, when required
- Community networking and program promotion

You will work with a high degree of professional autonomy while operating within established professional, legislative and organisational frameworks. You will also contribute to service quality, compliance and positive outcomes for children, parents and families.

What you’ll bring:

We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting families and can deliver professional, impartial and child-focused dispute resolution services.

You will have:

- A Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution, or an appropriate relevant qualification such as Social Work, Psychology, Law, Social or Behavioural Sciences, together with competency in the six compulsory FDR units; or




- Accreditation under the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) together with competency in the six compulsory FDR units
- Experience in Family Dispute Resolution and the ability to clearly explain the FDR process to clients
- The ability to meet ongoing accreditation requirements
- A current C Class Driver Licence (QLD)

You will also bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of conflict resolution and family-focused practice, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues and community partners.
