CASUAL SEAFOOD WORKERS WANTED
Atlanta Oysters & Seafood – Adelaide
Atlanta Oysters & Seafood is looking for experienced, reliable seafood workers to join our processing and distribution team on a casual basis.
We are looking for people with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Fish Filleters / Seafood Processors
- Oyster Shuckers
- Pick & Pack / Order Preparation
- Delivery Drivers
Previous seafood factory experience is essential
Applicants must have previous experience working in a seafood factory, seafood processing facility or similar commercial seafood environment.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for people who already understand the pace, hygiene requirements and physical nature of working in the seafood industry.
Duties may include
- Filleting and preparing fresh fish and seafood
- Shucking and preparing oysters
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
- Weighing, labelling and organising products
- Receiving and storing seafood
- Loading and unloading stock
- Maintaining high food-safety and cleanliness standards
- Loading delivery vehicles and completing customer deliveries
- General seafood factory and processing duties
What we're looking for
Successful applicants will:
- Have previous seafood factory or seafood processing experience
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have a strong work ethic
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Work well as part of a team
- Be physically capable of manual handling duties
- Understand the importance of hygiene, food safety and product quality
- Be available for early morning starts
Experience in fish filleting and/or oyster shucking will be highly regarded.
Applicants interested in delivery work must also hold a current Australian driver's licence and have a protected driving record.
