Global Cardiology is one of Western Australia's leading privately owned Cardiology practices with multiple locations throughout the metropolitan area. An opportunity exists to join our practice South of the River as a full-time and enthusiastic Cardiac Technician.
The successful candidate will provide vital support and technical assistance across our Perth-based practice locations, working closely with cardiologists and clinical staff to ensure safe, professional patient care.
- Skilled in reading ECGs and analyzing ambulatory Holter monitors and blood pressure recordings.
- Conducting and assisting with performing Exercise Stress Testing.
- Welcoming and preparing patients for investigations, explaining procedures in a professional and reassuring manner.
- Operating, preparing, and maintaining cardiac diagnostic equipment and clinical areas in accordance with established protocols.
- Assisting in manual handling activities and the safe transfer of patients requiring cardiac testing.
- Accurately recording, documenting,
and managing patient clinical information as per protocols.
- Maintaining high standards of infection control, patient safety, and clinical practice hygiene.
- Conducting routine stock checks, restocking clinical consumables, and ensuring treatment areas are fully prepared.
- Contributing positively to a collaborative, patient-focused, and supportive practice setting.
Qualifications and Experience recommended:
- Minimum requirement of a Certificate in Health Sciences (or an equivalent foundational health qualification) combined with practical training in cardiac testing.
Key Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and other medical and non-medical personnel.
- Competency in resting ECG acquisition and ambulatory Holter monitor analysis.
- Effective time management and organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated and committed to ongoing professional development
- Ability to adapt and respond to change.
- An enthusiastic team player with a can do attitude
- Willing to travel to other sites when required.
