This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Architect to join NBRS and play a key role in delivering exceptional projects across a diverse portfolio across Sydney and Melbourne.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects through all stages of design and delivery. You will prepare and present project reports to internal and external stakeholders, coordinate consultants, maintain project quality, and ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires the ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver quality outcomes with minimal supervision while seeking guidance on complex or unusual project matters.

In addition to project delivery responsibilities, you will contribute to architectural advocacy through involvement in professional organisations and provide technical guidance, reviews, and mentoring to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage multiple projects from concept design through to construction and completion.
- Coordinate consultants, clients and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Prepare and present project reports, documentation and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead project coordination, design development and documentation processes.
- Provide technical reviews, oversight and support to junior team members.
- Mentor and develop graduate and intermediate architects through knowledge sharing and coaching.
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Contribute to business development opportunities and architectural advocacy initiatives.
- Apply design excellence, technical expertise and commercial awareness to project delivery.
- Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design outcomes.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications & Licences

- Recognised accredited degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
- Registration with the relevant Australian State or Territory Board of Architects.
- Current White Card (or willingness to obtain).

Experience & Skills

- Minimum 10 years' experience in Architecture or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within an Australian architectural practice.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects across multiple stages from concept through to delivery.
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Strong creative, design and technical capabilities.
- Sound knowledge of the NCC, BCA, Australian Standards and planning frameworks.
- Strong understanding of sector-specific standards and guidelines.




- Advanced proficiency in Revit and other relevant design and documentation software.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
- Robust project coordination and consultant management skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions in non-standard situations.
- Excellent written, verbal, graphic and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Positive attitude and commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.

Desirable

- Experience delivering education sector projects including schools, universities and TAFEs.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary design environments.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior architectural staff.
