About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Collections Officer to join our team on a part-time basis.
The role will initially be approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility around how these hours are worked. We are also open to candidates seeking slightly more hours, with potential for the role to expand over time.
The position can be based at our Macquarie Park office or performed remotely from anywhere in Australia.
You will manage a portfolio of accounts, engage with customers to understand their circumstances, negotiate suitable repayment arrangements, and work towards positive recovery outcomes.

What You Will Do
- Manage inbound and outbound customer contact
- Negotiate payment arrangements and suitable account resolutions
- Assess customer circumstances and determine appropriate recovery strategies
- Maintain accurate file notes and account records
- Work towards agreed recovery and performance targets
- Manage follow-up activity across a portfolio of accounts
- Liaise with internal teams and clients where required
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers
- Follow relevant regulatory, compliance and client requirements
What Will Help You Succeed
- Previous experience in collections, recoveries, credit management or a similar customer-focused role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence negotiating suitable payment arrangements
- Ability to balance customer circumstances with commercial outcomes
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Professional, respectful and solutions-focused approach
- Confidence using computer-based collection and account management systems
Experience in motor vehicle finance collections, asset finance collections, or loss recovery will be highly regarded but is not essential.
