About the role:

Join Port Waratah as a Health & Safety Business Partner and make a meaningful contribution to the health, safety and wellbeing of our people. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you’ll work alongside leaders and teams across the business, sharing your expertise, providing practical advice and supporting positive health and safety outcomes.

You’ll bring your ideas and collaborative approach to help enhance our ‘Work to Live’ culture, contributing to a workplace where people can be at their best, continuously improve the way we work, and go home safe every day.

This is a site-based permanent part-time opportunity, with flexibility to work across three days per week, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a rewarding career while making time for the things that are important to you.

In this key role you will:

- Partner with leaders to provide practical health and safety advice, coaching and support.




- Lead and support health and safety improvement initiatives across the business.
- Identify and manage health and safety risks, supporting effective risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, standards and internal requirements.
- Support incident investigations, emergency response and other operational health and safety activities.
- Promote a proactive safety culture focused on continuous improvement, employee wellbeing and safety performance excellence.

Desired Skills and Experience:

What we are looking for:

- Relevant qualifications or experience in Occupational Health and Safety and Safety Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about continuous improvement and delivering a service-oriented approach to health and safety.
- Health and Safety advisory experience and a good working knowledge of NSW Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
