- HEO9 ($135,226 - $144,672) + 17% Superannuation

Work that matters

Lead and manage a high performing team of subject matter experts and deliver expert advice and support to University senior staff, researchers, regulators, and other stakeholders to enable research activities to be conducted with integrity and in compliance with all applicable regulatory or policy requirements.

The role oversees specialist support for the University’s research compliance and ethics committees (Institutional Biosafety Committee, Animal Ethics Committees, and Human Research Ethics Committees). Working closely with stakeholders in the Research Services and Infrastructure Function, the role supports education on research compliance and ethics and ensures institutional compliance within complex ethical and regulatory frameworks.

Ethics and Integrity team within the Research Services and Infrastructure Function and is aligned to the Research and Innovation Portfolio within the University.

Experience

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

- Experience leading and managing high performing multidisciplinary teams in research compliance, and ethics
- Proven ability in research management and administration, with a focus on research ethics and compliance
- Comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, standards, guidelines, and codes of practice relating to human research ethics, animal ethics, biosafety or biosecurity
- Proven ability to provide high-level interpretation and advice on policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in interpersonal, presentation, communication, and advisory skills,



with the capacity to work collaboratively and influence across organisational boundaries
