An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established organisation located near Berrimah. This temporary full-time assignment offers the chance to work closely with a finance team, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their accounting career in a supportive setting.
Working across two smaller business entities, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities while contributing to the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide support across a variety of accounting and finance functions, including:
- Payment reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Processing and managing intercompany transactions
- Maintaining expense accounts and financial records
- Assisting with month-end procedures, including journal entries
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Assisting with end-to-end accounting processes across multiple entities
- Ensuring accurate financial data and documentation is maintained
- Supporting the wider finance team with general accounting and administrative duties
About You:
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Officer,
or similar finance position
- A sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with reconciliations, journals, and month-end activities
- Exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating with a broader finance team
- Relevant accounting qualifications or studies in progress desirable but not essential
