IT Project Manager

Location: Maroochydore, QLD
Rate: $90/hour + super
Contract: Contract through to the next financial year
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

We’re seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (Information Architecture & Solution Readiness Stream Lead) to join a council based in Maroochydore.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technology project or stream lead with solid experience across information architecture, data governance, enterprise systems, system integration and business transformation to lead a key stream within Council’s Asset Management Program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the delivery of the Information Architecture & Solution Readiness stream within the Asset Management Program.
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, dependencies, risks and critical-path activities.
- Coordinate integration activities across system owners, technical specialists, business representatives and vendors.
- Manage requirements, testing and implementation readiness.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, communication and change activities.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, decision papers and presentations for governance forums.
- Manage vendor relationships, contractual deliverables and performance.
- Support procurement, market research and business case activities where required.
- Ensure delivery activities comply with relevant governance, policies, legislation, records management and audit requirements.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience leading complex business and technology projects or streams within an enterprise IT environment.




- Strong experience across Information Architecture, Data Governance, Enterprise Systems, System Integration or Business Transformation.
- Strong understanding of information management, data standards, governance, reporting, assurance, access controls and audit requirements.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong project planning, organisation and delivery skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across executive, operational, technical and vendor stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Experience within asset management or local government will be highly regarded.
- Experience with asset management systems, enterprise GIS, financial asset registers, Power BI, data querying or business intelligence tools will also be advantageous.
