We are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to join our team and lead our busy workshop operations. This is an opportunity for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to step into a leadership role, share their knowledge, mentor technicians, and contribute to the ongoing success of our dealership.

The Role

As Workshop Foreman, you will lead by example in maintaining a professional, efficient, and customer-focused workshop environment. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will oversee daily operations, support technicians, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support workshop technicians to achieve quality outcomes

- Oversee workshop workflow, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to schedule





- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety, and compliance

- Ensure customers receive professional service and a positive experience

- Promote a culture of honesty, teamwork, and continuous improvement

- Support and mentor technicians by sharing industry knowledge and experience

- Ensure workshop areas are clean, organised, and maintained to company standards

- Follow J.T. Fossey policies, procedures, and Service Manager direction

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

- Strong leadership skills and previous workshop experience (heavy vehicle experience preferred)

- Current NSW Driver’s Licence

- Current LR / MR / HR Driver’s Licence (essential)

- A solid commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

- The ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow established procedures
