Workshop Boilermakers are required to carry out fabrication, welding, cutting, gouging, drilling, punching, sawing, rolling, and pressing as directed by the Supervisor. You will be working in a workshop setting at our Unanderra location, supporting the delivery of structural steelwork fabrication and installation, and maintenance services to a diverse industrial customer base.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out fabrication, welding, cutting, gouging, drilling, punching, sawing, rolling, and pressing as directed by the Supervisor
- Perform safety checks and inspection of all equipment used in the execution of the work
- Note welding requirements and pass information on to a welder (if required)
- Confidently follow written and verbal instructions
- Ensure all technical, safety procedures and contract specific requirements are followed
About you
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Drivers Licence (HR/HC/MC preferable but not required)
- High Risk Work License (desirable)
- Welding Certification(s) will be viewed favourably
- Able to work effectively both autonomously and within a team of different trades with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong commitment to safety and experienced in following safe systems of work
