Summary

As part of our Engineering Team, you will provide technical expertise and automation engineering support for one of our major clients within the pharmaceutical industry. Working closely with both client and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to the delivery, maintenance, and continuous improvement of process automation systems in a highly regulated environment.

Duties and responsibilities

- Join a team that works directly with our client and is primarily based at the client's premises, collaborating closely with client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

- Implement and support process automation solutions, including SCADA and MES systems.

- Develop, maintain, and optimise PLC programs and automation systems.

- Program and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems across a variety of platforms.

- Continuously improve automation systems to maximise reliability and productivity.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

- Monitor JAG automation systems and ensure compliant execution of all lifecycle activities, including documentation, implementation, and testing.

- Review and approve system lifecycle documentation for JAG hardware and software, as well as third-party control systems such as Siemens PCS 7.

- Deliver plant user training where required.

- Participate in an on-call support roster, providing occasional after-hours first and second-level technical support.

- Actively promote a strong safety culture and fulfil all HSE responsibilities.





- Maintain and promote a cGMP-compliant culture, ensuring the highest standards are applied within your area of responsibility.

Your Profile

- Degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline preferred. A Computer Science degree will also be considered.

- Experience within the process automation industry, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector or another highly regulated environment.

- Experience with Siemens WinCC and/or PCS 7 SCADA platforms will be highly regarded.

- Previous pharmaceutical, GxP, or GMP experience is highly desirable.

- Minimum two years' experience within the automation industry

- Knowledge of automated system development, validation, and testing.

- Proven ability to troubleshoot automated systems and resolve technical issues independently.

- Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.

- Self-motivated with a willingness and ability to learn quickly.

- Strong problem-solving, technical learning, time management, and prioritisation skills.

- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
