About the role

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on painting and cleaning cabins, together with routine maintenance and general park duties. You will also undertake minor cabin maintenance and repairs from time to time with on-the-job training provided.

We are a family-owned business that has provided long-term residential accommodation in an established cabin park community for over 40 years. We take pride in providing a safe and well-maintained environment for our residents to call home, and are investing in new cabins and improvements across the park.

This is a full-time role, working 38 hours per week on weekdays, with flexibility around start and finish times.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and paint cabin interiors and exteriors, with care and attention to the finished result.

- Carry out routine pool testing, dosing and cleaning after training.

- Undertake groundskeeping, including weed spraying, mulching, street sweeping and green-waste removal.

- Read utility meters, move furniture with assistance, and help with basic furniture assembly and cabin preparation.

- Carry out gutter cleaning using suitable access equipment and safe work methods.

- Undertake minor cabin maintenance and repairs from time to time, with on-the-job training provided.

- Pressure wash the exterior of cabins.

- Cleaning work including vacant cabins to prepare them for reoccupation;

- Daily cleaning of the laundry,



pool toilet and common areas; keep bin areas, the maintenance shed and yard tidy.

- Provide labouring assistance for site preparation, construction of decks, verandas, pathways and other development work under the maintenance team's direction.

About you

- You are dependable, take care with your work and are comfortable with both cleaning and outdoor physical tasks.

- You can follow instructions, work independently on routine jobs and cooperate with a small team.

- You communicate respectfully with residents, staff and contractors and report problems when you find them.

- Practical experience in interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, is preferred.

- Experience in grounds work, property upkeep or labouring would be useful.

- A trade qualification in carpentry or practical experience in carpentry would be advantageous but is not essential.

- Practical experience working at heights is required for tasks such as gutter cleaning. Accredited working-at-heights training is desirable; we will provide this training if needed.

- Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia.

- A current Australian driver licence permitting you to drive a manual-transmission car, with practical experience and confidence driving manual vehicles.

- The successful applicant must provide a satisfactory current National Police Check before commencing employment.
