Role Description

This is an in office role for a Quality Assurance Officer located in Carrum Downs, VIC.

The QA Officer will be responsible for maintaining quality systems, overseeing compliance with regulatory, food safety, and TGA/GMP requirements, reviewing documentation, and working closely with production and QC teams to ensure ongoing product and process quality.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Implement and maintain the company’s quality assurance systems in compliance with HACCP, GMP, TGA, and applicable food safety requirements.
Review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, specifications, and quality documentation.
Support compliance with TGA manufacturing requirements, including relevant GMP documentation, records, deviations, CAPA, change control, and batch documentation where applicable.
Conduct internal audits, inspections, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Support staff training in quality, GMP, TGA, and food safety procedures.
Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and quality issues, and assist with root cause analysis.
Liaise with external auditors,



certification bodies, and regulatory authorities, including TGA, when required.
Assist with preparation for external audits and regulatory inspections.
Assist with other QA-related tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
Robust written and verbal communication skills in English; Chinese language skills are advantageous but not required.
Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, TGA requirements, and food safety systems.
Experience in quality assurance within the food, complementary medicine, or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Experience with TGA-regulated manufacturing or GMP quality systems will be highly regarded.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate across departments.

Job Types: Full time, Casual

Pay: From $33.05 per hour
