Join our young, energetic team at a local fish & chip shop that is truly special! We care about quality seafood, doing things the right way, and serving consistently great food. We are looking for a reliable, skilled cook who loves working in a rapid-paced, friendly environment.

Hours
Shifts: Morning shifts (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM) and evening shifts (5:30 PM – 8:30 PM), Monday to Sunday.
Future Opportunities: We are happy to offer ongoing or full time work to the right person once they have settled into the role and proven their skills.
Requirement: You must have your own reliable transport to get to work on time.

What You’ll Be Doing
Cooking top-quality burgers, kebabs, and seafood on the grill and in the fryer.
Mastering the fryer: managing oil quality, temperatures, and frying fish with perfect, consistent batter.
Taking orders and handling payments on the POS system (including phone orders).
Keeping your workstation, kitchen, and floors clean, safe, and tidy during and after your shift.
Working side-by-side with the team to handle busy rushes smoothly and without stress.

What We Need From You
Experience: At least 2 years of kitchen experience (Fish & Chips, Kebab, or similar fast-paced food environment).



Ex-chefs and cooks are highly encouraged to apply!
Skills: Strong frying and grill skills. You know your way around a deep fryer and take pride in clean, quality food.
Certificates: A current Food Safety and/or Food Handlers certificate.
Attitude: You are reliable, punctual, clean, and a excellent team player who stays cool under pressure.
Availability: Willing to work a flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
