We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Fruit & Vegetable Assistant to join our team at Queen Victoria Market.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys early starts, physical work, and working in a fast-paced market setting.
About the role:
Very early morning starts
Organising and preparing customer orders
Loading and delivering fruit and vegetables in a van
Confidently driving a van and safely handling deliveries
Lifting and moving heavy boxes and produce
Setting up and maintaining our market stand
Keeping the stand clean, organised and well presented
General assistance with day-to-day market operations
About you:
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items
Current driver’s licence and confident driving a van
Comfortable working very early mornings
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Positive organisational skills and attention to detail
Previous fruit & vegetable, market, warehouse or delivery experience is an advantage
Forklift licence is preferred but not essential
Location: Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne
