NDIS Support Worker Needed – Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5pm to 7pm.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Support Worker to assist an autistic teenager who is an NDIS participant.

Support is required twice a week, with each shift lasting approximately three hours. The role will focus on building confidence, practical life skills and greater independence in a safe and supportive workplace.

Activities may include cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care and organising belongings. The Support Worker may also assist with establishing routines, managing time, planning and starting tasks, completing schoolwork, solving everyday problems and adapting when plans change.

The role may involve supporting the participant in the community, including using public transport, shopping, attending appointments and becoming more comfortable in unfamiliar places. The Support Worker will also encourage communication, social participation, healthy routines, exercise, hobbies and the use of appropriate emotional and sensory regulation strategies.





We are looking for someone who has experience supporting autistic teenagers or young adults and understands neurodiversity. The ideal person will be patient, dependable, respectful and encouraging, with a strengths-based approach that supports the participant to do things independently.

Applicants must maintain skilled boundaries, respect the participant’s dignity, privacy, choices and personal space, and communicate appropriately with the participant and family. Explicit and accurate notes must be provided after each support session.

Relevant qualifications, an NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check, current first-aid certification and appropriate insurance are required where applicable. A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle may also be required if transport forms part of the support.
