Here's a chance to own a broad tax portfolio inside a large national listed organisation that's in the middle of a significant transformation. You'll run corporate tax compliance and governance end to end, and you'll also get real exposure to advisory and M&A; work as the business strengthens its existing markets and pursues recent growth.
The role
Reporting into the tax function, you'll be responsible for accurate and timely tax reporting across the group, with plenty of room to improve how things are done.
Your responsibilities will include
Leading tax reporting, including tax effect accounting, consolidated tax returns, FBT returns and activity statements
Running internal reviews to make sure compliance processes align with the group's tax governance framework
Identifying and delivering improvements to tax processes, controls and efficiency
Leading tax automation and continuous improvement initiatives
Supporting the team on advisory matters and M&A; projects
About you
You're a technically strong, commercially minded tax skilled who's comfortable taking ownership and working independently. You'll bring:
A relevant degree and CA or CPA
5 years' corporate tax compliance experience from Big 4, mid-tier or a large corporate
Solid technical knowledge of Australian corporate tax and tax accounting
Sound business acumen and the ability to quickly understand commercial priorities
Project management experience and confidence influencing a broad range of stakeholders
Experience with tax software (highly regarded)
