About the role

LMP Project Services is seeking an experienced Final Trim Excavator Operator to join our team in Mackay. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of civil and construction projects while operating contemporary, GPS-equipped machinery. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality earthworks that meet project specifications, tolerances, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operate excavators to achieve final trim and design specifications.
Utilise GPS machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica or similar) to deliver accurate excavation and grading outcomes.
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and digital designs.
Perform final grading and trimming work to required tolerances.
Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment maintenance.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and project teams.
Maintain a solid commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.




Report equipment faults, hazards, and site issues promptly.

About You
Proven experience as a Final Trim Excavator Operator.
Competent operating GPS-equipped excavators and machine control systems.
Ability to achieve final trim tolerances with minimal supervision.
Strong understanding of civil construction practices and safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and set-out information.
Reliable, professional, and safety focused.
Current excavator ticket/licence.
Additional qualifications such as Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence are advantageous.
