We are seeking a reliable and caring Filipino/Tagalog-speaking Female Disability Support Worker to support a female client in Roxburgh Park.

Please note: The client does not speak English, therefore the ability to communicate in Filipino/Tagalog is essential for this role.

Hours:Monday and Friday10:00 am – 7:00 pm9-hour shifts (18 hours per week)

Pay Rate:$38.80-$40.00 base rate + 25% casual loading per hour + superannuation

This is primarily a companionship, supervision and personal care role. The client is friendly and does not have challenging behaviours. The main purpose of the support is to ensure she is secure and not left alone while her husband is away.

The shift is not continuously active. There will be periods when the client is resting, sleeping or watching television, during which the support worker simply needs to remain present and available.

Duties may include
Companionship and supervision




Assistance with showering and personal care when required
Supporting the client to safely use the stairs
Falls prevention and mobility support
Light assistance around the home as required

The client has some difficulty with balance, so the successful applicant must be confident providing secure mobility and personal care support.

Requirements
Must be able to communicate in Filipino/Tagalog
Female support worker
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or equivalent
Previous experience in disability or aged care support
Current Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid/CPR
Reliable, patient and caring
Able to commit to both Monday and Friday shifts

Immediate start available. Pay: $38.80 – $40.00 per hour
