About Husk

Husk is an Australian fashion retailer known for considered design and a loyal customer. We sell our own Husk collections alongside a carefully chosen edit of external brands, through 18 stores and online.

The prospect

As Senior Buyer / Merchandiser, you'll own the commercial performance of our whole range: Husk apparel, footwear and bags, plus branded apparel, bags, accessories and jewellery.

The commercial calls are yours. You'll decide buy depth, size curves, allocation and replenishment, working within an OTB set with our CEO. You'll report to the Creative Director, partner closely with the CEO, and lead a Buying & Merchandise Admin Coordinator.

What you'll be doing
Planning and buying across Husk and branded product within the OTB
Setting breadth, depth, size curves and delivery timing for Husk ranges
Running the branded buying calendar and building assortments by brand and store
Negotiating supplier terms and protecting margin
Trading daily: backing winners,



acting early on underperformers, and managing repeats, replenishment and markdown recommendations
Allocating and balancing stock across 18 stores and online
Leading the product section of our weekly Trade Meeting and contributing to Board reporting
Turning each season's results into a sharper plan for the next

What you'll bring
Senior buying and/or merchandise planning experience in multi-store fashion retail
Real fluency in OTB, margin, sell-through, stock cover and stock turn
The ability to turn data into explicit decisions and act on them
Valuable product instinct, and respect for the line between commercial input and creative ownership
Strong negotiation and presentation skills
Autonomy, accountability and a talent for delegation
