An established Australian food manufacturing business based on the Central Coast is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in keeping production equipment running reliably, improving electrical systems and reducing unplanned downtime.
You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and Mechanical Engineering team, with plenty of autonomy to identify improvements and make a genuine impact across the site.
The Role Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the manufacturing site
Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical, automation and control systems
Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
Supporting the installation, commissioning and optimisation of current equipment
Developing and improving preventative maintenance programs
Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and site performance
Managing electrical contractors and external service providers
Supporting electrical projects from installation through to commissioning
Maintaining electrical documentation, procedures and maintenance records
Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve recurring issues
Ensuring electrical equipment and systems meet Australian Standards and site safety requirements
About You We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician with a strong background in manufacturing, FMCG, food processing or a similar industrial environment.
You will ideally have
Current NSW Electrical Licence
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience with PLCs, automation and control systems
Experience working with production machinery and automated equipment
