Urbane Recruitment have been engaged by a high-growth Australian fintech to appoint a Legal Counsel into its Sydney team.

This is a broad, genuinely commercial in-house legal role working closely with the GC and wider leadership team. You’ll sit close to the business and be involved in a range of strategic and day-to-day matters, including:
Commercial and enterprise agreements
Funding partner and lender relationships
Regulatory, privacy and compliance matters
Corporate governance
Legal operations and the use of AI across the legal function
General business partnering, complaints and disputes

The role would suit a lawyer coming from a robust corporate/commercial, banking & finance or technology background who is looking to move into, or further develop within, a commercial in-house environment. Ideally you’ll have around 2–3+ years PQE , robust drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to work directly with senior stakeholders across the business.
