A Sydney non-bank lender is growing its in-house legal team and is looking for a banking and finance lawyer to join them.

What you'll do
Prepare, review and negotiate funding, finance and counterparty agreements
Guide the business on its regulatory obligations across the financial services and credit landscape, working hand in hand with compliance and risk
Provide legal input on recent products, partners and growth initiatives, from initial design through to go live
Review customer documentation, disclosures and promotional material
Manage a broad mix of commercial contracts, including technology, supplier and partnership arrangements
Keep across industry and regulatory change and help the business respond
Brief and oversee external lawyers on specialist or significant matters
What you'll bring
Admission in Australia and 2-6PQE
A banking and finance grounding from a top tier or international firm, or from an in-house role in financial services
Solid understanding of how Australian financial services regulation works in practice
The ability to translate legal issues into explicit, commercial advice for non-lawyers
