We are on the hunt for a new cook to join our small cafe kitchen team here at Eugenes Cafe in Wantirna.
This role involves preparing dishes to our high standards while also providing essential support to our kitchen chefs. The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen experience, a passion for food, and a desire to expand their culinary skills in a fast-paced workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Assist chefs with food preparation and plating during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Handle food with care and in accordance with food safety standards.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen workplace preferred. But not required
Robust work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a team setting.
Full availability,
including weekends.
Australian working rights.
Ability to handle basic kitchen tasks such as dishwashing and food preparation.
Willingness to learn and grow in a quick-paced, innovative culinary environment.
