The role

State Soccer Coaches deliver structured, high-energy football sessions for children aged 18 months to 14 years across Sydney's Inner West and North Shore. You run sessions to our curriculum, keep every child secure, and give parents a program that looks organised and shows visible progress each week.

State Soccer runs weekly term classes, school holiday camps, before- and after-school programs in partner schools, development squads, and the U6 Saturday Spring Cup. Our motto is Stimulating Lifelong Participation in Soccer.

Who we're looking for

You don't need to be a former skilled. You need to be reliable, energetic with young children, and willing to coach to our standard every session.

Essential
Valid NSW Working With Children Check (paid employee type)
Football playing or coaching experience at any level




Experience with children aged 2–12 (coaching, teaching, childcare, OSHC or similar)
Available for at least 2 sessions a week across a full term, including Saturday mornings
ABN and right to work in Australia
Own transport to reach multiple venues
Availability for school holiday camps and weekday after-school sessions

Desirable
Football Australia coaching licence (Grassroots or C Licence)
Study in Exercise Science, Education, Early Childhood or Sport
Current First Aid certificate (HLTAID011), or willing to complete it before your first shift

Pay: $27.00 – $55.00 per hour
