Thornton North Early Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Hand to join our energetic team. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals to our young students. This is a full time position atThornton, NSW 2322.

What you'll be doing
Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care
Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen, ensuring all food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
Assist with the ordering and inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients




Collaborate with the early learning centre team to understand and cater to the dietary requirements of the children
Contribute to the development and implementation of a seasonal menu
Adhere to all relevant food handling and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Kitchen Hand or similar role in a commercial kitchen or early learning/childcare setting
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive work environment
Positive communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm for creating nutritious, high-quality meals for children
