We are seeking a Cable Repairer to join our Mackay operation on a full time basis.
Our Cable Services team plays a critical role in supporting the mining industry, helping keep operations running safely and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Trades Assistant / Skilled Labourer looking to step into a recent career pathway. No prior cable repair experience is required. We're open to entry-level candidates with the right attitude and work ethic. You'll receive full on-the-job training and support to develop into a skilled Cable Repairer over time.

Key responsibilities:
Repairing reeling,
trailing and versatile cables
Testing reeling, trailing and versatile cables
Inspecting and fitting plugs and couplers
Verifying compliance of repaired cables
You will also provide general Trades Assistant support as required, working within a workshop/manufacturing workplace.
About you:
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Hands-on or mechanical experience (Trades Assistant backgrounds highly regarded)
The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Positive attention to detail and confidence using hand tools
A genuine interest in building a long-term career
