About the role

As an Assistant Secretary, you will lead significant and complex work that contributes to outcomes for Australians. Opportunities may arise across policy, programs, service delivery, workplace relations, skills and training, regulation, digital, data, transformation and corporate functions. You will:




Provide strategic leadership and advice on complex issues
Drive delivery of government priorities and organisational outcomes
Lead high‑performing and inclusive teams
Build partnerships across government, industry and the community
Contribute to DEWR's broader stewardship and future capability
