We're looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to take charge of a local, prominent service station, a 7-day operation with fuel, a kitchen, hot and cold food, takeaway, beverages and convenience items. You'll be responsible for sales performance, profitability, service standards and a great team, and you'll have the autonomy to make the store your own.
Key responsibilities
Run the daily operations of the retail store and fuel forecourt
Set revenue targets and track actual sales performance
Develop and carry out strategies to lift profitability and grow the business
Manage merchandising, promotional displays and store presentation to drive sales
Monitor operating costs and manage the store budget
Analyse sales, margin and financial reports to spot trends and improve results
Manage purchasing, pricing, stock levels and inventory systems
Monitor stock loss and wastage
Deliver excellent customer service and resolve enquiries and complaints
Recruit, train, supervise and roster staff
About you
At least 2 years' experience in a retail supervisory or management role
A proven record of setting and managing sales targets, budgets and financial reporting
Robust leadership and team management skills
A solid understanding of purchasing and stock management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
An understanding of food handling and food safety compliance
Food Safety Supervisor certification, or a willingness to obtain it
