Marine Fitter

We are currently seeking an experienced Marine Fitter to join our client’s team in Australia.

The successful candidate will have solid experience working in marine, shipyard or heavy engineering environments, with robust mechanical fitting, assembly and maintenance skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking to further their career in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical fitting, installation, maintenance and repair of marine vessels and equipment
Assembly, alignment and installation of mechanical components and systems
Reading and working from drawings, measurements and specifications
Carrying out vessel maintenance, repairs and modifications
Performing inspections, adjustments and troubleshooting as required
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Marine Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or similar trade
Hands-on experience working in a marine or shipyard environment




Solid mechanical fitting and assembly skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
Experience using hand and power tools
Good understanding of workplace safety and safe work practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
