Senior Accountant Tax & Business Services (work from home) /n
Working closely with the Tax & Business Services Manager and Directors, you will be responsible for preparing and completing a range of taxation and business services work. This is a hands-on accounting role suited to an experienced accountant who enjoys preparing and completing business services and taxation work and is comfortable working independently within an established team.
Key responsibilities /n
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
/n
Preparation of SMSF financial statements and income tax returns
/n
Preparation and review of BAS and IAS
/n
Tax reconciliations and year-end workpapers
/n
Capital gains tax calculations
/n
Division 7A calculations and reconciliations
/n
Preparation of depreciation schedules and other supporting workpapers
/n
Reviewing client accounting records and identifying issues requiring adjustment or further information
/n
Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve routine queries where required
/n
Working with Xero and Xero Practice Manager
About you /n
Has solid Australian public practice experience in taxation and business services
/n
Can independently prepare financial statements and tax returns for business clients
/n
Has robust knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements
/n
Is experienced with companies, trusts, individuals and preferably SMSFs
/n
Is organised and able to manage multiple jobs and deadlines
/n
Produces accurate, well-documented work that is ready for manager review
/n
Is comfortable working remotely and communicating with other team members
/n
Takes ownership of jobs and follows matters through to completion
