Job Description:Fitzroy locationFull time, fixed term hours availableFriendly and supportive team workplace About the RoleYou are a suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated Anaesthetic/PACU nurse who is seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of our dynamic team.
Under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care in the peri-anaesthetic environment.
We are able to provide you with excellent educational opportunities across a broad range of specialities including Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastics, General, Urology and Orthopaedics.
· Ability to work efficiently as a member of a multidisciplinary team· Demonstrate 'best practice' clinical skills within the Perioperative environment· Act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care· Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in the area of Perioperative Nursing (Perianaesthesia stream)· Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital guidelines· Assists in the achievement of ward / unit key performance indicators.
Classifications for this position will range between YP3 – YP9 ($86,****** - $107,****** per annum, pro rata).

Through your highly developed interpersonal skill including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation you'll be able to facilitate positive team outcomes in a multidisciplinary environment.
You will also have:A current AHPRA registrationAt least 12 months of current clinical experience in Anaesthetic and PACU nursingPostgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing (Peri-anaesthesia stream), such as a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma, are desirableCurrent National criminal history check, or willing to obtain What we OfferEmployee Assistance ProgramA healthy work/life balance encouraged.

Working alongside the Sterile Processing Centre, Day Procedures, Cath Lab and Endoscopy Centres, the department undertakes over 13,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week.
