Take on big challenges and grow through mentorship, collaboration, and empowerment.About the RoleMount Pleasant Operation located in the Hunter Valley Region, NSW is looking for an experienced Training Co-ordinator to join the Health, Safety & Training TeamAs the Training Coordinator reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Manager, you will lead the training team to deliver best practice training and education programs, focused on compliance and secure operational efficiencies to best support our site.Some key responsibilities will include:Working closely with operational leads to ensure training programs are scheduled, delivered, and align with the needs of the organisationEnsure implementation of site training programs and systems to maintain compliance with our health and safety management system as well as legislative requirementsMonitor, analyse and report project performance in terms of achieving training deliverablesCoordinate, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needsDevelopment and review of learning and assessment materialDelivery of in-class learning and assessmentMaintaining the site training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps between current skill, competency levels and required skill levels in consultation with key stakeholdersDevelop, implement, and maintain site skills matrix and training plans with a focus on proficiency-based training outcomesPreparation and participation of material for annual audit scheduleOversee adequate resourcing and development Trainers and Assessors to support mining and maintenance/HRWLRoster is 5 days on 2 days off with a monthly RDO - permanent fulltime.About youTAE***** - Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentG1, G2, G8 and G9 (formerly S1 S2 S3) QualificationProven capability to lead and develop a high performing teamExperience in managing a project-based training needs analysis, skills matrix and training plansStrong administrative skills and experience in online training systems (high level of computer literacy)Ability to develop and map training packages to recognised competenciesExperience with heavy earthmoving equipment and/or a Mining HRW Maintenance background will be an advantageWhat's on offerAt Thiess, our people are the heart of everything we do.
