We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable & Finance Support Officer to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This is a varied, hands-on role that will suit a seasoned finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of Accounts Receivable while also supporting broader finance operations.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of debtor accounts and contributing to ongoing process improvements across the finance function.About the RoleAs the Accounts Receivable & Finance Support Officer, your primary focus will be managing the Accounts Receivable function while providing broader finance and administrative support to a small, collaborative and busy Finance team.Working closely with lodges, members and internal stakeholders, you will ensure accounts are managed accurately and professionally while assisting with continuous improvement initiatives, including our TechnologyOne systems review.Key Responsibilities
Raise invoices and manage the debtors ledger, including lodge capitation and membership accounts
Follow up overdue accounts and resolve queries directly with lodges and members
Process and allocate receipts accurately
Prepare aged debtor reports and provide regular progress updates to management
Support Accounts Payable processing as required
Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end activities
Maintain accurate customer and supplier records
Provide general finance and administrative support across the Finance team
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable within a busy finance environment
Strong debt collection and relationship management skills
Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence managing collection conversations professionally
Experience using ERP systems, with TechnologyOne experience highly regarded
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A proactive, adaptable and team-oriented approach
Experience within a not-for-profit or membership-based organisation will be highly regarded
What We Offer
Market-competitive salary of $80,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation
Full-time 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension
