The Team

Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, and the Adult Diabetes Centre within the RHH is the tertiary referral centre and a member of the National Association of Diabetes Centre in Southern Tasmania. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role

Demonstrates an interest in diabetes management and ongoing learning.
Provides support to people living with diabetes, their families, and carers under the supervision of the CNS or CNC.
Works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across THS-S and the RHH Diabetes Centre.
Contributes to quality improvement activities that enhance clinical practice and service delivery.
Promotes evidence-based practice through education and professional development.

You will need

Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care with in the RHH Diabetes Centre and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards of practice.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Ability to undertake patient/client education in RHH Diabetes Centre, together with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional developing and safety and quality improvements.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
