The Opportunity
People & Culture are seeking an
Injury Management and Wellness Specialist
to provide advisory and consultancy services to managers, supervisors, and employees.
This
permanent full-time
role is crucial in managing injury cases, facilitating return-to-work programs, and promoting workplace wellness to support employee recovery while minimising long-term human and financial costs.
You will oversee a portfolio of injury management cases, working closely with Scheme Agents, healthcare providers, and internal teams to implement proactive intervention strategies.
Your role will involve developing recover-at-work plans, liaising with medical professionals, maintaining compliance records, and advising on injury prevention initiatives.
With knowledge of injury management and return-to-work coordination, along with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, you will play a key role in fostering a safe and supportive work setting.

The purpose of this position is to provide a consultancy/advisory service to managers, supervisors and employees.
To actively share knowledge,
advice and coach others to build and develop injury management capabilities to create high performing environments.
You will work with all stakeholders to plan the return to work of injured employees to ensure best levels of recovery and minimise the impact of work-related injury on the individual and for the organisation.
The Injury Management and Wellness Specialist will maintain a portfolio of cases and work in partnership with the wider People & Culture teamto achieve proactive intervention after work related injury, whilst contributing to an equitable and cost effective Injury Management Service and reduction in the long term human and financial cost of workers compensation claims.
Desired Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
Experience in workers compensation case management
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workers compensation and work, health and safety legislation
Strong organisational and administrative skills to manage your schedule and deadlines
Effective communication and negotiation skills to deal with internal and external stakeholders
An ability to obtain optimal outcomes whilst complying to legislation
Ability to work autonomously without supervision and as part of a team
QUALIFICATIONS
SIRA accredited Return to Work Coordinator training
Current Class C Driver's Licence
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
