Clinical Nurse Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service
This is your opportunity to work in a Mental Health building designed to reflect a residential environment!
This purpose-built unit will give consumers access to internal courtyards, gardens and outdoor areas, and multiple barbecue areas for families, to support their recovery and wellbeing.We have partnered with health consumers, carers and expert clinicians to ensure the unit provides a safe space to improve wellbeing.
The Clinical Nurse Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service (MHAIS) is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies).

What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in acute mental health inpatient service nursing, delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors and maintain a positive workplace culture through well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrates a solid team commitment through ability to provide clinical education and support at an advanced level.
Demonstrated ability to participate in the multidisciplinary team to identify areas for improvement in work practices and outcomes and contribute to the continued improvement of policies and procedures.
Ability to prioritise clinical and related administrative duties, including effective and efficient planning and organisation of complex caseloads with proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff and manage delegated resources including prioritising needs and supporting day-to-day changes.
Mandatory Requirements
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. *****
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
