Where you'll be working
Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the southern half of NSW.
Surrounding the ACT on three sides and all the way down to the Victorian border, it extends from the pristine beaches of the NSW South Coast, the farmlands of the Southern Tablelands, across the picturesque Great Dividing Range and the spectacular Snowy Mountains.

What you'll be doing
Coordinate and manage all services relating to the cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical devices (including flexible endoscopes) to meet relevant statutory requirements.

Certificate/s or qualifications in Sterilisation Technology (minimum Certificate III)




Demonstrated experience in managing hospital based sterilising services including a comprehensive knowledge base in sterilisation technology, statutory requirements and governing standards relevant to the reprocessing of reusable medical devices including flexible endoscopy.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and their application within this role.
Demonstrated leadership, team management experience and management of resources and budgets, including the development of a cohesive and effective team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to prepare reports in relation to reprocessing issues to ensure compliance with statutory documentation requirements.
Demonstrated information and communication technology skills including experience with Electronic Instrument Management System/s, Microsoft applications, Word, Excel and Outlook.
Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain.
Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires.
This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
