North Mackay

We are looking for an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) to join our growing allied health team in Mackay.
This is an opportunity to join a clinic that is going through an exciting period of growth and development, with a genuine focus on clinical quality, team culture and supporting our people to enjoy their work.
We're looking for someone who wants more than simply filling a diary and getting through the day. We want an AEP who is interested in building strong relationships with clients, developing their clinical skills and becoming an important part of a supportive team.
About the role
You'll work with a diverse range of clients across chronic disease, musculoskeletal conditions, disability, mental health and general health and wellbeing.
We are looking for an AEP who enjoys building genuine relationships with clients and wants the opportunity to develop their clinical skills across a varied caseload.
You will have the autonomy to work with your clients while being part of a supportive team where collaboration, clinical decisions and professional development are encouraged.
There is also scope to develop your own areas of clinical interest as you become part of the team.
What we're looking for:
Current accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Strong knowledge of exercise prescription, physiology, anatomy and biomechanics relevant to clinical and community settings
Experience delivering exercise interventions to clients with chronic diseases, musculoskeletal conditions, mental health conditions or other health challenges

Proficiency in conducting fitness assessments and interpreting physiological test results
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate, motivate and build rapport with diverse client populations
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in documentation
Qualified approach to client safety, duty of care and ethical practice standards
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Preferred: experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams or allied health clinic environments
What we can offer you:
We want our people to enjoy coming to work and feel supported to build a career they are proud of.
You will receive:
Competitive salary, aligned with your qualifications and experience
Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities
Support from experienced clinicians and approachable leadership
A collaborative and positive team environment
Variety in your caseload and opportunities to develop your clinical interests
Regular opportunities to discuss your development, goals and career direction
A workplace that values quality clinical care over simply chasing numbers
A genuine focus on work-life balance and sustainable workloads
The opportunity to contribute ideas and have a voice as the team continues to grow
Why this opportunity?
This is great opportunity for an AEP who wants to be part of a team that is building something, not just maintaining the status quo.
We're investing in the team, the clinic and the way we deliver care, and we're looking for someone who wants to come along for that journey.
