Key responsibilities
Perform month-end reconciliations across various general ledger accounts
Review, reconcile and correct payment allocations
Process and manage layer invoices and retention reporting
Review and follow up outstanding COD and WIP items
Assist with month-end journals and reportingProvide accounting support and guidance to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff
Assist with preparation of new staff contracts and onboarding documentation
Perform monthly payroll reconciliation
Lodge payroll tax and ensure compliance with state requirements
FBT preparations
Review and follow up stock variances
Attend once a month stock take on Saturday morning
About you
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
Sound understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
CPA or CA qualified,
or currently working towards qualification
High level of integrity and confidentiality
