Operations Manager – Transport & 3PL Banksmeadow, NSW | $150,000 – $180,000 + Super | Full-Time

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Operations Manager to take a senior leadership role within a large, fast-paced 3PL transport operation in Perth.

This is a complex, dynamic environment supporting over 60 customers, requiring an experienced transport leader who can manage competing priorities, drive operational performance and lead teams while maintaining consistently high levels of customer service.
With significant scale and complexity across the operation, this position would suit someone with a strong transport background who thrives in a high-volume, multi-client environment.

The Role:
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the transport operation, with key responsibilities including:

- Lead and manage a large, fast-paced 3PL transport operation
- Oversee daily transport activities across 60+ customer accounts
- Lead operational teams and develop a strong performance culture
- Ensure customer service levels and operational KPIs are consistently achieved
- Manage fleet, drivers, subcontractors and transport resources
- Drive productivity, fleet utilisation and operational efficiency
- Manage competing customer requirements within a dynamic environment
- Identify and implement operational and process improvements
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, safety requirements and Chain of Responsibility
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance
- Resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining service delivery




- Support continuous improvement and future growth of the operation

About You
We are looking for an established transport leader with significant experience operating in complex logistics environments.
You will ideally bring:

- 10+ years' experience within Transport & Logistics
- Strong experience within a 3PL environment
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Transport Manager or senior operational leader
- Experience managing high-volume transport operations with multiple customers
- Strong people leadership and team development capabilities
- Experience managing drivers, fleet and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of transport compliance and Chain of Responsibility
- Commercial awareness and experience managing operational performance
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a rapid-moving environment
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
