An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Partner to join a well-established organisation operating across a diverse mix of corporate and field-based environments.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position suited to an experienced HSW professional who enjoys working closely with leaders and employees and can balance strategic partnering with practical, hands-on safety support.
Working as part of an established HSW team, you will provide specialist advice, coaching and support across the organisation, helping to identify and manage current and emerging risks and strengthen proactive health, safety and wellbeing practices.
A key focus of the position will be psychosocial safety and Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA), so experience in these areas will be highly regarded.
The role
Partnering with leaders and key stakeholders, you will:
- Identify, assess and manage workplace health, safety and wellbeing risks.
- Develop practical risk controls and prevention strategies.
- Provide specialist HSW advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees.
- Support the identification and management of psychosocial hazards and risks.
- Provide advice and support in relation to Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA), including prevention, incident management and risk controls.
- Contribute to the development and review of HSW policies, procedures, systems and initiatives.
- Support HSW projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Work across both corporate and operational/field environments.
- Help embed effective risk management practices and contribute to a positive, proactive safety culture.
- Build strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group and support the organisation through ongoing change and development.
About you
You will be an experienced HSW skilled with strong partnering and stakeholder management skills. You'll be comfortable influencing senior leaders while also engaging directly with employees and operational teams.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Senior-level HSW/HSE partnering or advisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience in psychosocial safety and psychosocial risk management.
- Experience managing or advising on Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA) risks.
- Strong capability in risk identification, assessment and development of practical controls.
- Experience working across corporate and operational or field-based environments.
- Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a broader HSW team.
- Experience supporting organisational change, projects and safety culture initiatives.
A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and a minimum of three years' experience as a Safety Professional is required.
