Leeton Kids is a purpose-built early learning centre in Leeton, and we’re looking for a passionate Centre Cook to join our team and create fresh, nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care.

About the Role

As our Centre Cook, you will be responsible for:

- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks each day

- Preparing breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea

- Planning and developing rotating menus

- Catering for allergies, dietary requirements and individual needs

- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness

- Ordering and managing food supplies and stock

- Working with educators and children to support positive mealtimes and healthy eating

- Creating meals that are nutritious, appealing and enjoyable for young children

What We’re Looking For





We’re looking for someone who:

- Has experience as a chef, cook or in a similar food preparation role

- Has a genuine passion for preparing food for children

- Has knowledge of food safety, nutrition and allergy management

- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently

- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen

- Holds a Food Safety Certificate or is willing to obtain one

- Holds a Working With Children Check or is willing to obtain one

- Holds a Police Check or is willing to obtain one

- Is willing to complete required Mandatory Child Protection Training
