ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a high-impact coordination role supporting strategic engagement across government, industry and key partners. You’ll manage external engagement opportunities, executive preparedness, stakeholder activity and major project milestones, working closely with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders. From briefing materials and speaking points to events and announcements, you’ll ensure every engagement is polished, purposeful and aligned.
DUTIES
- Lead stakeholder engagement planning aligned with organisational priorities and engagement strategies
- Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement with government, industry, sector organisations and delivery partners
- Coordinate ministerial, executive and stakeholder engagements, including site visits, roundtables, speaking opportunities and events
- Prepare high-quality briefing notes, speaking points, presentations, briefing packs and supporting collateral
- Manage approvals, protocols, risks and dependencies across external engagement activity
- Coordinate stakeholders and internal teams around key project milestones, announcements and engagement opportunities
- Drive consistent implementation of brand and engagement guidelines across stakeholder-facing activity
- Build understanding and adoption of brand guidelines through practical advice, tools and support
- Track engagement outcomes, commitments and follow-up actions to ensure appropriate progression
- Maintain oversight of upcoming milestones and proactively escalate risks, sensitivities and approval issues
- Collaborate across teams to ensure stakeholder activity, communications and brand outputs are coordinated and consistent
- Provide regular updates and advice on engagement activity, event delivery, approvals, risks and emerging priorities
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in stakeholder coordination, external affairs, communications, executive engagement or a related role
- Experience within a government or corporate environment highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, business, public administration, events management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting stakeholder engagement, external engagements, industry forums or events
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills, with confidence managing competing priorities and changing requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare polished executive-level materials
- Excellent attention to detail and robust logistical coordination capability
- Proven ability to build productive relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency across Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- A collaborative approach with the ability to identify, manage and escalate risks appropriately.
