Torra Recruitment is seeking experienced Hook Truck Operators for an ongoing opportunity with CMA Contracting. This role offers consistent hours, excellent overtime opportunities and the chance to work across a variety of demolition, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout the Hunter region.
What you'll be doing
- Operating hook lift bin trucks to deliver, collect and relocate bins across demolition, construction and industrial sites.
- Safely loading, unloading and securing bins in accordance with site and transport requirements.
- Completing pre-start inspections, identifying defects and maintaining vehicle presentation and compliance.
- Working from daily run sheets, recording bin movements and accurately maintaining job number records.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, site personnel and customers to coordinate deliveries and collections.
- Assisting with general site duties as required while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
What we're looking for
- Current HR Driver's Licence (Essential).
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual/synchromesh trucks highly regarded.
- Previous Hook Lift Truck experience (minimum 12 months preferred).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screen.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Experience working across demolition, waste management, construction or industrial environments advantageous.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify equipment defects highly regarded.
