At WesTrac Dubbo, you'll work on some of the industry's largest and most advanced Caterpillar equipment, completing major machine rebuilds, component overhauls and high-value workshop projects that challenge and develop your technical skills.
With workshop activity continuing to grow, we're expanding our team and looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics who want secure long-term work, consistent overtime opportunities and genuine career progression with one of Australia's leading Caterpillar dealerships.
Based in our modern Dubbo workshop, you'll perform:
- Major machine rebuilds and overhauls
- Engine, transmission and component rebuilds
- Diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault finding
- Machine assembly and commissioning
- Quality inspections and final sign-off activities
- Planned maintenance and repair work on Caterpillar equipment
You'll work alongside highly skilled tradespeople in a collaborative workplace focused on quality, safety and delivering industry-leading rebuild outcomes.
What You'll Bring
- Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant or Plant Mechanic background
- Experience conducting equipment rebuilds or major repairs
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Current driver's licence
Experience working on Caterpillar equipment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
