About Us: Bright Beginnings Family Day Care is a home-based childcare service supporting families through a network of experienced and registered educators. Ayad & Sons Pty Ltd, as trustee for Ayad Family Trust, operates Bright Beginnings Family Day Care and two childcare centres, with plans for further expansion.
Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Cyber Security Analyst to support and protect the organisation's ICT workplace. The role is responsible for monitoring security activity, investigating incidents, assessing vulnerabilities and risks, implementing security controls, and supporting secure access to business systems and sensitive data, including information relating to children and families. The position will also contribute to the development of security policies, reporting, staff awareness initiatives, and ongoing improvements to the organisation's cyber security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor security systems, access logs and cloud activity to identify and mitigate cyber security threats.
2. Investigate security incidents, including malware, phishing and compromised accounts, and implement appropriate remediation.
3. Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments across ICT systems and maintain a risk register.
4. Manage security controls, including user access, MFA, security patches, VPNs,
password management, backups and recovery processes.
5. Protect sensitive and confidential information, including data relating to children, families and NDIS-related services.
6. Maintain security records, policies and procedures, and provide cyber security awareness guidance to staff.
7. Evaluate security tools and recommend improvements and best practices to management.
8. Liaise with external service providers regarding security issues and remediation activities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant bachelor or higher qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least two years of proven experience in cyber security, information security, ICT security analysis, or a closely related role.
- Knowledge of security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, incident management, access controls, MFA, backups and cloud security.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and with internal and external stakeholders.
